So, this plate of food probably looks pretty bland. There is no color and you need color to make you want to eat what is in front of you. Well, let me tell you…this is no bland dinner.
Nathan and I loved this recipe. For one, it super easy. The chicken is cooked in the slow cooker. Yes, I said the slow cooker. This is the first time I have ever cooked anything other than roast in my slow cooker. The smell, oh my goodness, the smell. It was heavenly. Garlic and lemon over chicken. It only took about 4-5 hours to cook.
The chicken is served over angel hair pasta with a sauce. The sauce is chicken stock, fresh lemon juice with peel, salt and pepper and the garlic. All the best flavors here in this dish. PERFECTION! The recipe (click here for recipe) actually called for bone-in chicken thighs. Well, I used boneless, skinless breasts. We like our white meat even though we know that the dark meat is where the flavor it is at.
Again, this dinner lacks in color, but definitely does not lack in flavor. It is so good and lemony and garlic infused from the first bite to the last.
