The Dive From Clausen’s Pier

The Dive From Clausen's Pier

I read this book at a time in my life when someone I knew was going through a lot.  It really made me look at things in my life.  I realized though, that I am so grateful and happy with everything that I have and that my life is incredibly simple.

This is the only Ann Packer book that I have read.  It is definitely a book that has stayed with me.  It made me think and any book that can do that, well, it makes a mark on my good list.

This book is about a young girl that has been with her guy for a very long time.  Life for her became boring, monotonous.  When a life-changing event happens, it allows her a chance for change.  It makes the character, Carrie, go a little crazy and do things that no one would expect.  The story will make you stop and wonder what you would do in the same situation.

I definitely recommend this book to anyone who may be going through some crazy things in life from tragedy to divorce.  Honestly, this book has it all: Love, Family, Tragedy, Sex and Redemption.  A MUST READ!!

I understand. My sister does not like to read, but when I find a book I love, I always tell her and she will usually read it. Sometimes it is hard to make time to read.

Do you still have the book? If so, I’d like to borrow it. If not, I’m going to Half Price Books. :-)
